Course Outline

+ - Introduction

This short but highly effective workshop-style course has been designed to give the participant food for thought when tackling sales issues and explore beyond the every day sales remit. It will enhance awareness of how the different departments within a company are a chain and that the company is only as strong as its weakest link.

This course is ideal for people in management/sales management positions in small and medium trading companies.

The main objective is to assist people in sales management to think more broadly when tackling sales issues.

This session will enable people within sales management to understand basic tools that will help then analyze team and individual sales performance in more detail. They will also understand that sales issues are not always related directly to sales, and that problems within their supply chain will affect a company’s performance.

  • Basic understanding of issues facing sales management and tools to find solutions
  • Measuring sales force effectiveness
  • How other sectors within a company can affect sales performance
  • The importance of communication within a company and its impact on sales
  • How data can affect decision making

Participants will look at sales performance more holistically and gain a deeper knowledge of how to search for solutions when faced with low performing sales teams. They will understand that the use of data is an essential part of this process, and how to use basic tools with their data. They will understand the importance of an efficient and effective supply chain vis-à-vis sales performance and how this can affect sales teams.
