This course satisfies the training requirement for those seeking to register to the IRCA auditing scheme. It is also an essential for any serious environmental practitioner, particularly those who have the main responsibility for implementing and maintaining their environmental management system and manage an audit programme for internal audits.

Course Outlines

The course is designed to help delegates deliver value-added audits to understand the principles of good Environmental Management and to develop their knowledge of the environmental management standards and to enable you to lead an audit team.

It will also develop delegates’ knowledge & understanding of different environmental audit types, and the practical skills required to plan, execute and report environmental management audits.

On completion, delegates will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of an EMS based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard at a level acceptable to certification bodies.

EXAM DATE

Exams are now given online. Each delegate will have 30 days from the completion (last day) of the course to write their exam.

CQI and IRCA online exams are delivered through an online assessment system called SARAS. You will have access to two SARAS portals – one for your practice questions and the other for your exam.

Exam duration: 1 hour 45 minutes (40 questions in total)

All questions will be computer-marked. Once you have answered a question and clicked Next, you will not be able to navigate backwards to review or change your answer. This is a security measure to reduce the risk of cheating.

All necessary information related to preparation and writing of the exam will be given to each delegate when they start the course.
