About the course

This five-day highly interactive CQI and IRCA Certified Lead Auditor training course will enable you to understand the new international Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) standard ISO 45001:2018. You will learn how you can utilise the new standard to understand, manage and maintain internal and external Health and Safety Management duties and performance obligations.  With knowledge and understanding of ISO 45001:2018 you can evaluate your own organisation’s arrangements against OHS commitments and how they can be improved. This session comprises the latest updates in line with the new ISO 19011:2018 Auditing Standard and Annex SL. This course is given via an interactive online platform.

Course Outlines

Prior Knowledge

Those attending this course are expected to have knowledge of the following:

  • Occupational health & safety management principles and concepts:
  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
  • The purpose and benefits of an OH&S management system
  • A basic knowledge of managing OH&S through hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control and compliance with legal and other requirements
  • A basic awareness of common examples of relevant national and local OH&S legislation and requirements
  • Commonly used OH&S terms and definitions as given in ISO 45001

EXAM DATE

Exams are now given online. Each delegate will have 30 days from the completion (last day) of the course to write their exam.

CQI and IRCA online exams are delivered through an online assessment system called SARAS. You will have access to two SARAS portals – one for your practice questions and the other for your exam.

Exam duration: 1 hour 45 minutes (40 questions in total)

All questions will be computer-marked. Once you have answered a question and clicked Next, you will not be able to navigate backwards to review or change your answer. This is a security measure to reduce the risk of cheating.

All necessary information related to preparation and writing of the exam will be given to each delegate when they start the course.
